Well last night the temperature dropped in Chicago and since I was on my way home from a JL meeting I decided to treat myself and the hubs to a chopped salad from Portillos. Also, I didn't feel like making dinner. So walking to and from the bus stops to get to Portillos from the JL house I was reminded of that winter is COMING people. Also, when I wear skirts in the colder months I usually bring leggings or yogis to wear over my tights but I forgot yesterday and it was dang cold! I also was reminded of how much I LOVE the Gold Coast and Lincoln Park area. Say what you will about the 22 Clark bus and those crazies, but then take a ride on the 50 Damen and you'll see that 22 ride is a freakin TREAT compared to those wack jobs.
Raining again today but really excited that since Thursday is the hubby's day off so he is coming for lunch! We found a new deli last week from Groupon NOW and its my newest fave on Taylor St. I need to figure out how to add pictures on here. Also, get the blogger app on my phone! Tonight we are figuring out our costumes for this weekend. Wasn't super excited about it so hopefully tonight will renew my interest in having fun dressing up. This ain't college no mo.

Well hellooooooo
So this blog has been totally defunct for about a year now. Created for a grad school class and now to be used for my personal thoughts, feeling and over all life journal of good cheer! (most of the time)
Since last October I have continued with my grad school studies (almost done will graduate in about a month and half!), celebrated my one year wedding anniversary with my wonderful husband in New Orleans, celebrated my doggie Care Bear for 8 cute & fluffy years, and enjoyed many fun evenings with family and friends!
I seriously can not wait to graduate and stop spending all my free time (and some work time) doing school. What will I do with all my time? Oh I know, watch my shows, go back to making nice dinners for my hubs, do projects around the apt. Christmas is coming and I cant wait for the holidays!!
Excited to be blogging and hope record some great moments!

The New Generation of America
There is a new force in the working world, one that has fresh, new, different ideas then some of their working counterparts. This is because these working individuals are from different generations. Constantly, we have different workers who have new ideas and are able to bring something new to a team. I would attribute this to the different generation that people grew up in. As a twenty-something, I was raised with the computer, learned Word and Excel in grade school and graduated middle school with working knowledge of how to search on the internet. This is just one example of a difference I have with say the generation my mother grew up in.
Well, at some point the workforce, both public and private, is going to be directly managed by this generation.. Sure there will be a few older employees dotted with a few newer ones, but most likely as time has proved, new generations change a workplace atmospere and culture. The question is, how will the public sector deal with the changing population of those who manage it. Surely is has gone through significant changes before. How will the factors of public administataion change? Post some comments and hopefully this blog will serve as a discussion of how the world of public administration will change for the better or worse as new generations come to manage it.
